Anthony P. Altieri

December 11, 1933 ~ August 29, 2016 (age 82) 82 Years Old


 

82, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of fifty-six years to Lucy (DelBonis) Altieri. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Salvatore and Cecelia “Elsie” (Rossi) Altieri. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War era. Anthony was a former insurance agent for thirty years and was a legal support specialist for Parasearch Inc. of Warwick until his retirement. He was a member of St. Mary’s Feast Society and the St. Mary’s Italian Cultural Society. A man of strong faith, he loved his family, friends, the Red Sox, golf and food.

 

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving daughters, Lynn Almond and her husband Lincoln D. of Narragansett, Jayne M. DeRouin and her husband David of Cranston, and Karen Palmisano and her husband Jon of South Kingstown. He was the cherished grandfather of Zachary, Chase, and Kevin Almond, John DeRouin, and Hannah and Max Palmisano. Anthony was the brother of the late Maureen Young.

 

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
