Cheryl Ascenzi Obituary

of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston. Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of Lillian (Mariani) Ascenzi of Johnston and the late Dante Ascenzi; and is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.

Cheryl graduated from RI College. Her passion was working with children. She was a special education teacher in Cranston for 33 years before retiring. An active member of St. Thomas Church, Cheryl was a religion education teacher, involved in Baptismal classes, St. Thomas Church Food Pantry and a variety of many other programs at the church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March17th at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, Providence, followed by burial at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
