Filomena "DoDo" Soprano Ricci

March 11, 1930 ~ May 23, 2017 (age 87) 87 Years Old


87, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.  Born in Cranston, Filomena was a daughter of the late Benedetto and Antonetta (Lepizzera) Soprano.  She was a Supervisor at J.J. Weston, Inc. for 15 years. 

Filomena is survived by her children Regina Ricci and Claudia Pietros, both of Cranston and Annette Curelli and Paul Ricci, both of Palm Coast, FL.  She was the cherished grandmother of Stephanie Pietros, Camille Thomas, Carolyn Karzazi, Michael Pietros and Paul Ricci, Jr.  Filomena was the great grandmother of Oliver and Eleanor, and also cherished her beloved dogs Julie and Bella. She was the dear sister of Theresa Miller of Bristol, CT, and the late Virginia Piotti, Frank, Joseph and John Soprano.

Filomena’s passions over the years have included growing spectacular flower gardens in her yard, creating delicious meals and baked goods for her family and friends, and doting on her great grand-children. She was an avid reader, and particularly enjoyed the genre of historical fiction. Among her favorite literary quotes was “To thine own self, be true.”

Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 11 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston at 12 p.m.  VISITING HOURS: Thursday 4-8 p.m.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Kindly omit flowers.
