Frances A. (Spirito) Cardillo

96, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at The Bridge at Cherry Hill, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Cardillo. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Camillo and Ann (DeLuca) Spirito. Frances was a Home Health Aid for the VNA for over fifteen years before her retirement. She was a member of the Salvatore Mancini Senior Center and its Book Club, Harmony Inc., and the Women’s Barbershop Chorus for many years. Frances was active in the Girl Scouts of RI, URI Master Gardeners Association, and the SPREAD  group at St. Matthew Church.

She is survived by her loving children, Norma Nelson of Providence, Anna Martin of North Providence, and Joseph Cardillo and his wife Jacquelyn of Wakefield. She was the cherished grandmother of Christopher Nelson, Emily Bell, Joseph Cardillo and Samuel Martin, two great-grandsons, Nathan Nelson and Jameson Bell and two great-granddaughters, Julianna Bell and Geneva Cardillo. Frances was the sister of the late Mary Deanseris, Andrew, Angelo, Sweeney, George and Thomas Spirito. Frances is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the NAROLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 6:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brain Injury Association of RI, 1017 Waterman Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914.
