92, of Cranston passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Joan (McElroy) Paone. Born in, and a lifelong resident of Cranston, he was a son of the late Erasmo and Francesca (Nardella) Paone.

Frank was the owner of Paone Trucking, then went on to contract for Pezza Cement Block for over 40 years. He was a member of Tabor-Franchi Post #2396 and the Saint Mary’s Feast Society. Frank was an avid golfer and enjoyed working in his garden.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving step-son Mark Murtagh and his wife Patty of Cranston; step-grandchildren, Sean and Patrick Murtagh, to whom he was known as “Papa”; dear brother of Ann McGrath of Goose Creek, SC and the late Benny, Anthony and Angelo Paone, Mary Neri, and Dorothy Martin. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on MONDAY MORNING from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
