Jane A. (Promades) Tigano

55, of Pawtucket, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. She was the beloved wife of sixteen years to William M. Tigano of Pawtucket.

Born in Providence and raised in Barrington, she was a daughter of Carroll F. Promades of Riverside and the late Angela (Panas) Promades. Jane was a graduate of Katherine Gibbs School and the University of Rhode Island. Jane had a long and successful career as Administrative Officer with the Rhode Island office of Child Support Services. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Cranston.

Jane was a wonderful wife, step-mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who was deeply devoted to family. She was an avid fan of the New England Patriots who cheered equally hard for her niece and nephews at all of their youth sporting events. Jane enjoyed softball, tennis, and traveling internationally.

Jane loved to cook when not dining out with family and friends. She loved going to the movies, long walks, and she cherished time spent with parents and family, especially the weekly “Tuesday night” family dinners. Jane will always be deeply adored by her family.

Besides her husband and father, she is survived by her loving step-children, Dominic J. Tigano and his wife Jennifer of East Freetown, MA and Benjamin M. Tigano and his wife Isabel of East Taunton, MA. She was the cherished step-grandmother of Sophia Armanda Tigano of East Freetown, MA. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Fernande E. Tigano of Taunton, MA and the late Dominic Tigano and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Jane was the devoted sister of Frederick C. Promades of Middletown, George C. Promades and his wife Gina of Barrington, Carole-Anne S. Sanchas of Barrington, Cheryl A. Hosey and her husband James of Barrington, and Christopher C. Promades and his wife Maribeth of Barrington. Jane was the beloved aunt of Nicholas, Christopher, Georgie, Matthew, Michael, Myles, Christopher (Bumpy), and Angelina. Jane was the niece of George and Beverly Panas, Jr. of Seekonk, MA and is survived by numerous cousins.

Her funeral service and burial were private. VISITING HOURS were respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.
