Welcome to the memorial page for

Jordan Kim

June 19, 2006 ~ May 8, 2017 (age 10) 10 Years Old

Jordan Kim was granted his angel wings on May 8th 2017, following a long illness. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Jordan had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life.

Jordan’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.  His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him and his voice and thoughts could always be heard.

Although Jordan’s illness made him appear weak he possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges.  With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.  He was an avid gamer and could spend hours playing in his favorite game “Gears of War” while cuddling close to those he loved so much.  He always had a smile and enjoyed music, dancing, and the beach.  He loved the color blue and listening to sounds of “Fetty Wap” and “Chris Brown” dancing and especially laughter of his siblings which would make him smile.  He spent the summers dancing and having fun in the backyard with his family in Cranston.

With Jordan’s passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated.  Although we will miss him every day, especially his endearing smile.  He will forever remain in our hearts.  Through his teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be loved by him.  We are so thankful of Jordan’s gentle spirit.

Jordan leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced his quality of life.  Because of their continual dedication, love and support, Jordan was able to survive some of his toughest medical challenges.  Jordan will be dearly missed by all of these special people, at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, The Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro, and Boston Children’s Hospital, provided Jordan with love and dignity in his life and also in his death.

Jordan is survived by his loving mother Lynn, Sisters Olivia and Hailey, brother Sincere Grandparents Duang & Phonady Kim, Great grandparents, and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.  He is predeceased by his maternal great-great grandparents.

It’s gon’ be a house party on this island
