Joseph A. Criscuolo

September 8, 1925 ~ February 16, 2017 (age 91) 91 Years Old


91, of Johnston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Olga (Cionci) Criscuolo. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Filomena (Rinaldi) Santilli. Joseph was a US Navy veteran landing on Omaha Beach, Normandy, France during WWII. Joseph was a US Postal worker for over 25 years until his retirement. Joseph was an avid Yankees fan and Notre Dame Fighting Irish football fan. He was also a faithful communicant of St. Rocco’s Church.

Joseph is survived by his loving children, David J. Criscuolo and his wife Joyce of Johnston and Linda M. Caparco and her husband Ugo of Scituate. He was the cherished grandfather of Brian, Matthew, Jacqueline, Dionna, and Aimee, and the great-grandfather of Nathan, Ryan, Evelyn, Nicholas and Lexi. He was the brother of Alfonso J. Criscuolo of Cranston and Richard Santilli of Johnston.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 21, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Entombment with military honors, will take place in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum, St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday February 20, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
