Norma M. (Strong) Mattera

90, of Cranston, formerly of Providence, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul F. Mattera. Born in Warren, RI, she was the daughter of the late George and Frances (Zombic) Strong. Norma was a clerk for Bank of America at the former downtown Providence office for many years before her retirement. Her passion in life was her family, especially her two grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving son Paul D. Mattera and his wife Paula of Cranston. Norma was the mother of the late Michael A. Mattera. She was the cherished grandmother of Robert A. Mattera of Pawtucket and Jennifer A. Mattera of Cranston.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday morning 9:00-10:00 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.
