Richard M. "Dick" Aric

October 1, 1930 ~ December 10, 2017 (age 87) 87 Years Old


 87, of Sun Rise, FL, formerly of Queen St., Cranston, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017.  He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine T. (Morrocco) Aric.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Marion P. and Mary E. (Hess) Aric.

Dick was the owner of the former Aric Tile Company and was a ship fitter at General Dynamics Electric Boat in North Kingstown before retiring.  He was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran; and past Commander and Chief of American Legion Post #77, Providence.

He was the devoted father of Curtis E. Aric and his wife Joyce of North Scituate, Richard M. Aric, Jr. of Dallas, TX, Kathleen L. Theriault of Cranston, Lori A. Fox and her husband Michael of Union, NJ and the late James A. Aric; loving grandfather of Curtis E. Aric, Jr., Jack E. Theriault, Jr., Sheana M. Pimental, Alitea M. Curtin, Shea D. Aric, Cara N. Aric, Jocelyn N. Hutton and the late Stephanie M. Greenhalgh; loving great-grandfather of James, Ariana, Hannah, Paige, Jacob, Shawn, Noah and Mason; and dear brother of  Edith Suess of Virginia Beach, VA and the late Janet Morrison.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m.  Burial with military honors will be at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  VISITING HOURS are Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
