of Cranston, passed away at his home on Friday, December 1, 2017.  He was the husband of the late Dora (Bruno) Florenz.  Born in Belmonte Calabro, Italy, Rolando was a son of the late Alfredo DelGiudice and Angela Conforti.  He was raised by the late Salvatore and Maria (Pellegrino) Porco.  He owned and operated Rolando Florenz & Sons Masonry, Landscaping, & General Contracting until his retirement in 1986.

He is survived by his children Roland Florenz (Patricia), Domenic Florenz (MaryBeth), all of East Greenwich, Michael Florenz (Dawn) of Scituate, Rosemarie Florenz and Alfred Florenz (Kelly), both of Cranston.  Rolando was the cherished Papa of Stefanie and Michael Whaley, Roland Florenz, Katie and Tom McGill, Erica (A.J.) Florenz, Brittany Florenz, Julia Florenz, Stephen Barry, Jennifer Barry (Jon), Anthony Florenz, Isabella Florenz, and the late Michael Florenz, Jr.  He was also the great grandfather of Lucas Minasian and Laura Whaley.  Rolando was the dear brother of the late Luciano Luminoso, Tullio Florenz and Sara Scialis.

His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew’s Church, Cranston at 10 a.m.  VISITING HOURS: Monday from 5-8 p.m.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
