Virginia G. "Ginny" McDonald

66, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Greenwood Care Facility in Warwick. She was the beloved wife of Michael S. McDonald for forty years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Jane C. (Babcock) Vale and late Robert C. Vale. Ginny worked in the banking industry as an investment specialist for many years.  

Besides her husband Michael, she leaves behind three children, Lee Scungio and her husband John of Coventry, Kelley Thurber and her husband Kevin of Coventry, and Sarah Cimini of CT; She was the cherished grandmother of Kailey, Robert, Logan, Emma and Zachary, along with many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of William Vale, Richard Vale, Kristen Adams and the late Catherine Scopelitti.

Her visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Her funeral service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospitals, P.O. Box 1000 - Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
