Anthony Marano

89, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home in Bristol.  He was the beloved husband of the late Gilda (Lancia) Marano.  Born in Belmonte Calabro, Italy he was the son of the late John and Teresa (Bruno) Marano and step-son of the late Angela (Magnone) Marano.

Anthony was the owner of the former A-Way Quick Print in Cranston for over 25 years.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II.

He was the loving father of Cheryl Marano of Cranston, Joanne Coletta and her husband Charlie of Cranston; cherished grandfather of Michael Coletta, Matthew Coletta and his wife Jaime, and Nicole Coletta; dear brother of Rose Pate of North Providence and Albert Marano of Lincoln.  He was the brother of the late Angela Conforti and step-brother of the late Alfred Magnone and Onorina Tetreault.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston.  Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Friday from 4 - 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association (RI Chapter APDA) PO Box 41659, Providence, RI 02940-1659.
