Armando A. Nicini

formerly of Cranston, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at RI Veterans Home in Bristol.  He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret J. (DeAngelis) Nicini.  Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Alfredo and Graziana (Teolis) Nicini and step-son of the late Mary V. (Coppelelli) Nicini.

Armando was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years and was a WW-II U.S. Navy veteran serving in North Africa, Middle East and Europe.  He was a member of the Kelley & Gazzero Post #2812; Rosario Society; and the DAV and was an avid NY Yankee fan.

He was the devoted father of Raymond J. Nicini and his wife Kathleen of Riverside and Joanne K. Gibbons of Warwick; loving grandfather of Jennifer Nicini (Jake) and Christopher Nicini and his wife Tina; loving great-grandfather of Marley, Lucas, Jackson and Stella; and dear brother of Anthony Nicini of PA, Sarah DeMaio of CT & FL, Mary Vacca of IN and the late Julia Howard and Grace Iannuccilli.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday, March 29th at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco Church, 931 Atwood Ave., Johnston at 10 a.m.  Burial with military honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
