Darlene J. (Santagata) Sczerbinski

August 22, 1944 — March 25, 2017

Darlene J. (Santagata) Sczerbinski

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of Darlene’s passing.  She passed away peacefully in her home with her beloved family by her side in the family room her father built.

She was the high-school sweetheart and the perfect wife of 51 years to her devoted husband Peter Sczerbinski Sr.

A lifelong Cranston Resident, she was the daughter of the late Frank Santagata and the late Virginia (Razza) Santagata.

She leaves her loving and devoted children, Sheri Conca (Tony), Michele Diaz (Rob), and Peter Sczerbinski Jr. (Julie).  She will be a guardian angel to her grandchildren, Jared McMullen, Gabriella Conca, Sophie and Mia Sczerbinski, and Benjamin Diaz.  She leaves a brother Frank Santagata (Diana) of Macau.

Darlene lived a life based on Faith, Family, and Friends.  She was everyone’s favorite cousin, “Auntie Doll” or great friend and was called a Saint by those who knew her best.  She had the reputation of being the sweetest, most positive person and always put others before herself.
