Filomena Olivo

93, formerly of Cranston and West Greenwich, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Coventry Center Nursing Home where she was lovingly cared for during the past three years.

Born on September 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Gerardo and Giovina (Detroia) Nardone.  In 2009, she was predeceased by her husband John Olivo.  She is survived by her daughter Frances and her husband Brig Gen James D’Agostino, USAF, (Ret) of West Greenwich, grandson Christopher and his wife Crystal D’Agostino of Coventry and granddaughter MAJ Alisa D’Agostino, US Army, of Greene, RI.

She is survived by her siblings Mary Rosati, Anna Ursillo and Pat Nardone.  She was predeceased by Ernest, Philip and Hilda Nardone, Sadie DiBiase, and Vickey Buffardi.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 12th,  at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church in Cranston. Burial will take place in RI Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made out to Cure Alzheimer's Fund, 34 Washington Street, Suite 200, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481 would be appreciated.
