Florence M. (Braun) DiBona

passed away on July 6, 2017 at 91 years of age. She was born in Cranston and was the daughter of the late Francis and Minnie (Bertsch) Braun. She was the wife of the late Anthony R. Di Bona. Florence is survived by her son Anthony Di Bona and daughter Charlene Di Bona, both of Cranston. Florence was the last survivor of a family of twelve brothers and sisters.

Florence lived in Cranston for most of her life. During WWII, she worked on motorcycle chains for the Harley Davidson motorcycles that were sent to Europe. Later she worked at the former W. R. Cobb Co. making jewelry and in the shipping dept. She was a traditional housewife, making a home for her husband and children. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and having relatives over for dinners on the holidays. Florence enjoyed country music, and attended many shows at the Warwick Musical Theatre and the Hay Loft Jamboree with her daughter Charlene. She was a member of the CMA of RI. Florence was an animal lover, especially the family dog, Roger. She liked seeing birds in the yard and many trees nearby. She also enjoyed the roses and other flowers that grow in the yard. Florence also loved giraffes.
