John A. Jacavone

92, of Adams Street, Cranston, a retired barber passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at home. Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Acciardo) Jacavone. He was the beloved husband of Anna R. (Marandola) Jacavone. They had been married for sixty-seven years.

He spent his winters in Port Charlotte, FL and became a resident in 2011. Mr. Jacavone had been the former owner of Johnny’s Barber Shop in Silver Lake in Providence for seventy-one years before retiring in 2011.

He was a life time member of the Bishop Scalabrini Council Knights of Columbus in Johnston. Mr. Jacavone was a communicant of St. Rocco’s Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves his cherished niece, Susan Jacavone Capraro, who cared for him during his illness. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. He leaves his brother Carlo Jacavone and his wife Julie of Johnston and his sister Lena Darezzo of Wakefield. He was the brother of the late Anna Macari and Mary Macari.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.
