Joseph S. Ludovici

80, of Narragansett, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at home. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn C. (Rivet) Ludovici for 57 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Sabatino and Louise (Taylor) Ludovici.

Joseph was a lifelong pilot as both a civilian and a member of the RI Army National Guard (1955-1997) retiring holding the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 5 (CW5). In 1969, he became owner/president of Skylanes, Inc. From 1985-1997 he served as an instructor pilot for the RI Army National Guard. He was also a member of many organizations, including: RI Pilots Association, Quiet Birdman Association, Woonsocket Rotary Club (President 1982), and the RING Retirees Association.

Besides his wife Evelyn, Joseph is survived by his loving children, Gregory Ludovici and his wife Georgianna of East Killingly, CT, Joanne Ludovici and her husband Gene Piskator of Alexandria, VA, and Laurie Ludovici and her husband Tom Deneault of Kingston, RI; cherished grandchildren, Lexie, Tasha, Brianne, Christian, Julia and TJ; dear siblings Louise Phelan and Roland Dumont.

His funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory- SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt. 1A) Narragansett, on Friday at 10:00 am. Burial with military honors will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS will be held on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
