Maria Mesiti Obituary

Maria R. Mesiti, 86, of Marina di Gioiosa (RC) Italy, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, in Italy. She was the beloved wife of Nicola Romeo. Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe Mesiti and Milena Paino.

Maria was the devoted mother of Maria Teresa Romeo (Stefano) and Domenico Romeo (Maria) all of Italy; cherished grandmother of Mariarita, Gabriele, Federica and Martina; dear sister of Fausto (Emanuela) Mesiti and Enzo Mesiti all of Cranston and the late Tommaso, Girolamo, Piero, Franco, Aldo and Benito Mesiti; and dear sister-in-law of Rocco Romeo of Providence.

Her Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, April 9th in San Nicola di Bari Church in Italy.

A Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Friday evening, April 19th at 7:00 p.m. in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight St., Providence, RI.
