Nicholas A. Gualtieri

Retired Cranston Policeman and Detective entered eternal life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Kent Regency in Warwick. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Angelina (Rattenni) Gualtieri, and brother of the late Edith, Rose and Antonetta.  He is survived by his three daughters, Diane Gualtieri, Carol Gualtieri and Maureen Mitchell, all of Warwick; grandchildren, Joshua and Maggie Mitchell; niece, Linda Gagnon; grand-niece, Andrea White; and his former wife Dolores (Cedrone) Gibbs.

Nicholas was a veteran, and served as an Airman in the Korean War.  He attended weekly Mass at St. Bartholomew’s Church where he served as an usher. The family wishes to thank Maria and all the caregivers at Kent Regency for their love and care. Our Dad was strong to the end. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday, February 21st at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew’s Church, 297 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence at 11 a.m. Entombment with military honors will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
