Rose Dorothea (Basile) Pawson

94, born in Providence, Rhode Island, March 24, 1923, beloved wife of the late Alan Y. Pawson, Jr.  They were married for 52 years.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Carmella (DeStefano) Basile.

Rose is survived by one daughter, Cynthia M. (Pawson) Naticchioni and her husband Mikel and three grandchildren who she adored- Ryan, Haley and Lindsey all of Kingston, MA.  She also leaves one sister, Helen Gould of Florida and nieces and nephews.

She was employed by Davol Rubber Company as an Administrative Assistant and Ferro Novelty Jewelry as a Showroom Assistant before retiring.

Rose resided in Johnston, RI for 80 years until the time of her husband’s passing moving to Kingston, residing with her daughter and son-in-law for 8 years and at Wingate Residences and Skilled Nursing the past 6 years.  Rose will be missed by all who knew her.  She left us very peacefully.

Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Johnston.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Monday morning 9 – 10 a.m.
