Susan F (Udell) Gately

Susan F. (Udell) Gately 51, of Cranston , unexpectedly passed away on January 13th, She was the beloved wife of 25 years to Sean P. Gately.   Born in Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Joyce (Scholtz) Udell.   Besides her husband Sean, she was the loving mother of Elizabeth (Libby) Joyce Gately and Robert (Bob) Walton Gately II both of Cranston and was the dear sister of Karen Udell of Florida. She was adored by her family, nephews, nieces and her pets.

Sue was a devoted wife and loving mother to her children. She was an artist and a very spiritual creative soul. She enjoyed studying various religions and her constant creativity and art were cherished by all. She loved her collection of designer shoes, art and dancing the night away. Whether it was jamming to Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Smith’s, Madonna or Hip Hop, her late night epic dance parties will be missed by all of us. As the most “Gangsta” person from Bloomfield Hills she loved her Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday evening, from 4pm-8pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave, Cranston.  In honor of Sue please wear the most uncomfortable, highest heels you own and as much bling as you can muster. Burial will be private.   A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
