57, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2017 holding in her heart the overflowing love and support of family, friends, colleagues and clients. She is survived by her treasured daughters, Kate and Liz Rosbottom, and their dad, Ken Rosbottom; her admired sister and brother-in-law, Tricia and Steve Hennessy. She was predeceased by her parents, John J. and Mary F. (Smith) Early. Arlene was a lifelong Rhode Island resident; she graduated from The Prout School in 1978 and University of Rhode Island in 1982.

She was a Shareholder and Senior Financial Planner, as well as Director of Human Resources, with Corrigan Financial, a financial planning and investment management firm in Middletown. She was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). Arlene previously was employed by Eastern Utilities, Newport Electric and as a Senior Staff Accountant with Deloitte, Haskins and Sells (currently Deloitte and Touche).

Arlene lived with metastatic breast cancer for over 8 years and was expertly supported by Dr. Rachel A. Freedman of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Arlene will be remembered for her unwavering optimism, her bright smile and comforting blue eyes. Her spirit of strength, faith and generosity live on in all of those who were inspired by her.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Road, Rt. 1A, Narragansett. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8 p.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett.
