David H. Pelletier

David Pelletier Obituary

66, of West Warwick, passed away on Wednesday at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Karaniuk) Pelletier.

Born in Old Town, Maine he was the son of Gloria (Moreau) Pelletier of Milford, Maine and the late Herbert Pelletier.

David served in the US Army, where he worked as an x-ray tech in Ethiopia during the Vietnam War era.  Upon completing his service he enrolled in the University of Maine, where he received a BS in Mathematics.  After graduation, he worked as a government contractor while also attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he received his Masters Degree in Computer Science.  During the last 20 years of his career, David was a Computer Scientist for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport. During his time at NUWC, one of his proudest accomplishments was working at the Pentagon in Washington DC for one year immediately following 9/11.

He was the devoted father of Sari Palumbo and her husband Michael of Warwick, and a loving “Pepere” to his granddaughter Skylar. He was the dear brother of Gary Pelletier and his wife Michelle of Eddington, Maine and Susan Hein and her husband Douglas of Holden, Maine.  He is also survived by loving stepchildren, nieces and nephews and devoted family friends.

His funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston.

Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS WEDNESDAY MORNING FROM 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
