Donald L. Roberts, Sr., (Ret. CFD)

of Cranston, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Carol A. (Williams) Roberts.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Ethel (Wardle) Roberts. 

Donald was a firefighter for the City of Cranston Fire Department for many years and a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War.

He was the devoted father of Donald L. Roberts, Jr. and his wife Linda of Cranston; cherished grandfather of Kimberly Roberts of Cranston, Donald C. Roberts and his wife Kristen of Cranston and Louis Marchetti, IV and his wife Tanna of Smithfield; loving great-grandfather of Kaylee, Jace, Delaney, Liam, and Evelyn; and dear brother of Joyce MacDonald and her husband Scott of Cranston.  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 12th in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial with military honors at Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.  VISITING HOURS are Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
