Elena R. Piccolantonio

89, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Morgan Health Center, Johnston. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Lena (Tocci) Piccolantonio. Elena was employed as a supervisor for the State of RI in the Temporary Disability Insurance Department for 30 years before retiring.  

Elena was happiest when surrounded by her large family including her nieces, nephews and many godchildren.  She also developed many friends over the years while singing with the RI Civic Chorale and the choirs at St. Mary’s Church and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish.  She was an avid gardener and baking was another passion. 

Elena was the sister of the late Annette DeMarzo, Marie V. Olerio, Mary Buono, Joseph and Louis Piccolantonio.  She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews to include; Anthony, Kathleen and the late Michael Buono.  Joseph, Louis, Alfred, Matthew, John, Debra and the late James Olerio.  She also enjoyed special relationships with her great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.   

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in the Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
