Elena Pilloni Obituary

passed away Sunday February 4th, at home, surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved daughter of the late Henry Pilloni Sr. and Louise (Guglielmetti) Pilloni. Devoted sister of Elizabeth Pilloni and the late Henry Pilloni Jr. and sister in-law of Marie Isabelle (Rachiele) Salvati.

Elena was a graduate of Bryant College. She started her career as a medical secretary at Rhode Island Hospital tumor clinic, followed by Dr. Joseph Johnston & Dr. Lois Bruno State of RI Drugs Abuse Program and Human Services. She was the founder of RI Medical Assistant Association. Lastly she retired from Rhode Island College as office manager of the financial aid office.

She was an avid baker, reader, event organizer, performer and entertainer. Active member and office holder of the Daughter of’ Isabella Sacred Heart Circle and Catholics women’s league of Holy Ghost Church. Volunteer and participant of the Saint Bartholomew Church feast and Christmas bazaar committee and Cranston Senior Center.

Survived by her devoted nephews/nieces Henry Pilloni III, Janet (Pilloni) Gamba and Karen (Pilloni) Beausoleil and Roger Beausoleil. Great Aunt and Maternal caregiver to Michael and Joseph Pilloni. Beloved Great Aunt to Mr. & Mrs. Roger Beausoleil Jr., Danielle Beausoleil (Seth Bryand) Stacy Gamba (Jeremy Labsan), Lisa Gamba, Dr. & Mrs David Pilloni and Tonya Pilloni. Cherished Great Great Aunt to Tyler (Ruth Cole), Ashley and Noah Beausoleil, Kayla and Kelsie Labsan, Dylan Beausoleil-Sepe, Gianna Pilloni, Cristiano Pilloni and Alyssa Valequette. Great Great Great Aunt to Tyler Beausoleil Jr., Aiden and Noah Cole.

Funeral from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew Church 297 Laurel Hill Ave. Providence at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
