69, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of his true love and soulmate of 48 years, Carmela (Vetrano) Mancini. Born in Teano, Italy, he was one of eight sons and daughters of the late Oreste and Liberina (Faella) Mancini. Guido immigrated to this country from Italy in 1970 and worked as a tool setter for 48 years at Tercat Tool & Die in Providence.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, John O. Mancini, Esquire and his girlfriend Sienna L. Piccione of Cranston and Dina Marie Grande and her husband George Anthony Grande II of Cranston. Guido was pre-deceased by his brother Eliseo and sister Antonetta and is survived by his siblings, Angelina, Antonio, Pasquale, Gennaro and Mario, all of Teano, Italy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Guido was a simple person, who had a love for the outdoors, especially his garden and fruit trees. He was a true fixer, as he could fix anything with wire and duct tape; as a devoted Catholic, he was always ready to lend a hand and be a friend. His greatest joy was his family and his happiest moments were spent around the kitchen table with his family and friends, enjoying the labor of his garden.
