Gustavo "Gus" A. DiRaimo

66, of Cranston, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 5, 2018. Gus was the beloved husband of Cathy (Ciampanelli) DiRaimo for 43 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony and Carolyn (Suibielski) DiRaimo. Mr. DiRaimo was a truck driver for Teamsters Local 251 for many years until his retirement. He was a US army national guard veteran. Gus loved playing hallway hockey with his grandsons and going to their hockey and soccer games.

Besides his wife Cathy, he is survived by his two loving children, Felicia Chionchio and her husband Neil of Cranston and Anthony DiRaimo of Cranston. He was the cherished papa of Lorenzo and Lucca Chionchio. Gus was the brother of Kathleen Champagne, Linda Gallo, Christina DiMuccio and her husband Michael, Jane Cote and her husband Robert and Charles DiRaimo. He was the brother in-law of Carla and Carlo Ciampanelli, Cynthia Currington and her husband Anthony and the late Mark and Gail Ciampanelli. Gus also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 9th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
