John B. Marchetti, Jr.

74, of Cranston passed away on November 3, 2019.  He was the beloved husband of Linda (Bittner) Marchetti.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John B. Marchetti, Sr. and Eva (Buonanno) Marchetti.

Mr. Marchetti was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.  He received a BA from Providence College and his Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from St. Louis University. 

He worked as a psychotherapist until the time of his death and was a member and Past President of National Association of Social Workers.  In addition, he was a gifted artist in all mediums and an avid gardener.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Alicia Gannon and John B. Marchetti, III; and two sisters, Maria Galvin and Elena Rembijas.

His funeral will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 8:45am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston.
