John R. Procaccini Sr.

84, of Cranston, completed his journey of faith and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 14, 2018, he was the devoted husband of the late Sylvia Pinelli.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Gennaro and Anna (Campagnone) Procaccini.  He made his home in Cranston for the past 55 years. His life was defined by his love of family and his passion for cooking, which intersected each and every day.  A talented and accomplished cook, he lovingly nourished family and friends alike with hearty Italian cuisine throughout his life. He was the owner of Johnny’s Catering for 35 years, retiring in 1992 and was a faithful communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Cranston. 

A loving father, John is survived by Cheryl Procaccini and Soji of Laguna Beach, CA, Maria Smith and Vincent and John R. Procaccini, Jr. and Debra all of Cranston and Rev. David Procaccini, Pastor of St. Francis de Sales Church, North Kingstown.  He also leaves his adored granddaughters, Gianna and Aria Procaccini and Erika Smith all of Cranston and his brother Gerald Procaccini of Providence.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Nardolillo Funeral Home 1278 Park Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston at 10:00 AM.  Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 PM.
