Laura C. Marsella

88, of Providence, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Nunzio A. Marsella. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Costanzo and Laura (Spirito) Colella. Laura was an administrative assistant for the former Carolan & Company of Providence for fifteen years before her retirement.

She is survived by her loving children, Donna L. Marsella and her husband Charles Lahti of Boylston, MA, Karen A. Marsella and her husband Richard Zompa of Johnston, Jeffrey A. Marsella and his wife Danya of Johnston, Robert A. Marsella and his wife Jackie of Johnston, and John K. Marsella and his wife Kelly of Hope Valley. Laura was the cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Marsella, Michael Marsella, Gregory Parrillo, Alexis Marsella, and Audra Parrillo. She was the sister of Victor Colella, Ada Marcoccio, Lillian Zanecchia, all of Johnston, and the late Vilma Generali, Flora Colella, and Leah Colella.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church,18 King Philip Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, C/O Dr. Walter E.
