Marie A. (Ronci) Camparone

We are saddened to announce the passing of Marie A. Ronci Camparone, 90, of Providence RI. She passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Camparone, Sr. Marie was born in Providence, daughter of the late Fernando and Maria (Giuliano) Ronci.

She is survived by her children, Catherine Jeffrey of Smithfield, Rocco Camparone of Providence, Maria Scialo and her husband Albert of Glocester and George Camparone Jr. and his wife Angela of Lincoln. Marie was a devoted and cherished grandmother of ten and great grandmother of seven.  She is survived by her sisters Annette Mercurio and Fernanda Rourke. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and she will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Marie loved sharing her beautiful singing voice and caring for others in need. She sang in many choirs throughout Rhode Island and was a member of the Providence Opera Theater. Her most beloved singing venue was Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a Eucharistic Minister at Rhode Island Hospital and a volunteer at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church, 239 Regent Ave, Providence, RI on Wednesday, August 1st at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.  Calling hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.
