Mario T. Calise

89, of Warwick, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Kent Regency, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie V. (DeSantis) Calise. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Giusepina (Guglielmo) Calise.

Mario was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He then worked as a machine operator for both Uniroyal and General Electric in Providence for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his loving children, Joseph M. Calise and his wife Diana of Warwick, and Maria “Mia” Jeffrey and her husband Kevin of Cranston; cherished grandchildren, Danielle Petrocchi and her husband Christopher, Kristen Jeffrey, Peter Calise and John Calise; great-granddaughter Ava Petrocchi; dear sister Nancy and his late siblings, Mary, Domenic, Archie, Joe, Florence, Theresa, Mamie, Margaret, Edith and Anna.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on TUESDAY MORNING from 8:00 – 9:00 am.
