Michael Izzo Obituary

 

76, of Cranston , passed away on Wednesday, November  28, 2018 at the home of their daughter in West Warwick.  He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Brown ) Izzo.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Domenic and Olga E. (Papitto) Izzo.  Michael was a director at Life Span for many years as well as a longtime teacher at CCRI.  Michael was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and was an active parishioner and choir member of St. Brigid’s Church in Johnston.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children Lisa-Marie Izzo of West Warwick , David Michael Izzo of Cranston and his companion Barbara M. Mazza, his dear brother Stephen J. Izzo and his wife Nancy A. Izzo of Cranston and his cherished grandson Michael David Izzo of Cranston.  He was also the loving uncle of Stephanie N. Izzo, Stacia M. Izzo, John T. O’Donnell, Louis B. O’Donnell, Robert E. O’Donnell and Edward F. O’Donnell.

His funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston.       

Burial with military honors will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston . VISITING HOURS:  Monday morning  8:30 to 9:30 am.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Navy & Marine Corps Relief Society, P.O. Box 37410 Baltimore, Maryland 2198-9208.
