Michael Veltri

of Narragansett, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Teresa (Pellegrino) Veltri.  Born in Amantea, Cosenza, Italy, he was the son of the late Nicola and Rosa (Arlia) Veltri.

Michael immigrated to America in 1961.  He worked for various construction companies and later was a self-employed stone mason and builder.  His hobby in retirement was building stone and concrete lawn ornaments.

Michael is survived by his children, Nicholas Veltri and his wife Marjorie of Narragansett, Anthony Veltri and his wife Sally of Smithfield and Francesca Santilli of Narragansett; his grandchildren, Michael, Juliet, Anthony, Belinda, Julie and Franco; his great-grandchildren, Jack Richard, Isaac Benjamin, Mia Rivers, Alivia Jewel and Alina Teresa; and was the dear brother of the late Antonio Veltri, Francesca Ianni, Maria Ianni and Giuseppina Pellegrino.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday. August 16th at 11 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by entombment in Mother of Hope Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
