Oliver B. "Buzzy" Rowe, Jr.

64, of Johnston passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, after an eight month battle with lung cancer. He was the beloved husband of Lisa E. (Tuirok) Rowe for 41 years. Born in Providence, son of the late Oliver Sr. and Ethel (Nolan) Rowe. He was the father of Daniel Rowe of Johnston and Nicholas Rowe and his wife Lisa of Marysville, Washington. He was the dear brother of Patricia Lawrence and her husband Bob of Johnston, Rebecca DeMasi of North Providence, John Rowe of Cranston, Susan Tortolani of Cranston, brother in-law of Danny & Dee Tuirok of Cranston, Jim & Deb Tuirok of Attleboro,MA and
Ester Bernardo-Tuirok of Cranston. Buzzy was also the brother of the late Robert and William Garrett. He was the son in law of the late Rudy and Shirley Tuirok and brother in law of the late Tony Demasi and the late Melanie (Tuirok) Barbosa. He also leaves behind many loving nieces & nephews who adored him. Buzzy had a very special bond with his grandnephew Dylan James Barbosa who lovingly called him "Bubba" and was affectionately known as "Grandpa Buzz" to Derek & Nico Kelly
Buzzy worked for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in Cranston for 38 years where he formed life long friendships, he retired from Pepsi in December of 2019 due to illness.
He loved spending time with his family, and sitting out on the deck in the backyard with his son and his friends drinking Bud light and listening to Led Zeppelin.  He also enjoyed golfing and playing pool on Saturday with the "Boys"
Buzz was an avid sports fan and a die hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees
 His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS : Wednesday 4-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
