Philomena "Mae" (Russo) Ciccone

94, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 21, 2019.

The beloved wife of the late John B. Ciccone, she was born in Riverside, NJ, the daughter of the late Harry and Carrie (Mazzachio) Russo.

Mrs. Ciccone was an office administrator for the Providence School Department for ten years until her retirement. She enjoyed giving gifts, reading all kinds of literature, and staying up on current affairs. She loved Franklin D. Roosevelt, chatting on the phone, cooking, praying the rosary, a good joke, and watching the Red Sox, to whom she was a mega fan for decades. She was a woman deeply devoted to fairness and being together, and showered her children and grandchildren with tremendous love throughout her long life.

Mae was the mother to three loving daughters, Carol Marciano and her husband Henry of Providence, Darlene Johnson and her husband Lenny of West Kingston, and the late Phyllis Ciccone. Mae was the cherished grandmother of Christopher Marciano, Alicia Eddy, Jonathan Coutu, Laura Marciano, Holly Handfield and Joseph Marciano. She was also the cherished great grandmother of five. Mae was the sister of Greta Feeney and her husband Tom of NJ, the late Rose Bacino, Edith Citino, Margaret Collinsworth and Albert Russo. She also leaves behind many very loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 26, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
