Robert P. Jennings

87, of Providence, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Waterview Villa, East Providence. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late James and Nellie (Mycroft) Jennings. Robert is survived by his two brothers Joseph Jennings of Providence and John Jennings of Seymour, CT; he was also the brother of the late Margaret Day, James Jennings, Edward Jennings and Marion Nunes. Robert was the loving uncle to several nieces and nephews and cherished great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. He loved watching his NY Giants, NY Yankees, PC Friars and P-Bruins. Robert loved going with his niece to watch his great-great nephews play T-Ball. He always called them his buddies. Robert worked for Crosstown Press for many years until his retirement. The Jennings family would like to thank Waterview Villa staff and residents for their care, compassion and friendship to Robert and also thanks to the hospice staff of Nursing Placement.

His funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting Hours will be held Monday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Waterview Villa Nursing Home, Activities Department, 1275 South Broadway, East Providence, RI 02914.
