William J. Crudale, Sr.

of Cranston passed away on Monday June 10, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sarah A. “Sally” (Wallace) Crudale.

A lifelong resident of  Cranston, he was the son of the late Alfred and Amelia (Ricci) Crudale, Sr. William was the owner & operator of Excel Case Company and Fairway Display Company for many years before retiring. He was an avid bowler and former President of Cranston Little League from 1967 to 1971. He was a member of the City Hall AC Club of Cranston, Valley Country Club. Metacomet Country Club and the North Providence Rotary Club.

Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Amelia “Amy” Walsh and her husband Mark of Alexandria, VA., William J. Crudale, Jr. of Cranston, Matthew W. Crudale and his fiancee Kate of West Warwick and Sarah A. Pereschino and her husband Randy J. of Warwick; loving grandfather of William J. Crudale, III, Irene and Lucy Walsh, Nicole Arena, Alex and Andre Stepanov;  loving great- grandfather of Emma Arena.  He was the dear brother of Dorothy Gaglione of Cranston and the late Bertha Crudale, Rose Coppotelli, and Alfred Crudale. He was the dear brother-in-law of Marion Crudale of Cranston and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his loving four legged companion Gibson.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Friday June 14, 2019 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church 1525 Cranston St. Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Visiting hours are Thursday June 13, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
