Aniello R. "Ralph" Buono

89, of Johnston passed away at his home on November 12, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Lucille S. (DiOrio) Buono for sixty-three years.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Aniello and Raffaela (Zaccarella) Buono.

He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.

Mr. Buono was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for over forty years before retiring.

He enjoyed camping in his motorhome in Myrtle Beach, SC, he enjoyed bowling with his wife on the Town Hall Lanes League and playing hi-lo jack.  He was a New England Patriots fan.

Besides his wife, he leaves five children, Dr. David Buono of Farmington, CT, Raymond Buono and his wife Ann of Douglas, MA, Susan Buono of Johnston, Deborah Buono of Johnston and Paul Buono and his wife Wendy of Johnston; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Anna Hurley, Anthony, Vincent, Salvatore and Frank Buono.

His funeral will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 8:45am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Road, Johnston.  Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Grace Memorial Society.
