95, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Cedar Crest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Cranston. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Vincent J. DiPippo. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Pietro and Maria (Delfino) Palermo. Two of Dorothy’s greatest joys in life were knitting and spending time with her family. She combined these by creating beautiful afghans for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending her summers with her husband and family in Jamestown and Newport on their boat, appropriately named the “Dottie James”.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Beverly Bertrand of Warwick, and Bernadette Russillo of Cranston. Dorothy was the mother of the late Vincent J. DiPippo, Jr. She was the cherished grandmother of Renee Parrillo, Michelle Russillo, Richard Russillo, Sherri Sarault, Eric Bertrand, and Paul Bertrand and was the great-grandmother of fourteen, and the great-great-grandmother of two. Dorothy was the sister of the late Josephine Pesce, Evelyn Tarttera, Phyllis Freidman, Betty Croce, Peter and Antonio Palermo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral service on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
