91, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. She was married to the late Arys M. Missakian from Cairo, Egypt in 1953. Born in Detroit, Michigan she was the daughter of the late Melidos and Christine (Khatchadourian) Najarian.
During World War II, Seta worked in the Ford factory on the B-24 bombers. She graduated from the University of Detroit with a Teaching Degree in 1947. Seta was an incredible cook, gracious hostess, and very devoted to her entire family. The family lived in Detroit, Switzerland, New Jersey and Rhode Island; active in the Armenian Community in each place.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Arax Missakian of Cranston, Christine Missakian and her husband Carlos Pinela of Hamden, CT, and Anais Missakian and her husband Mark Hengen of Cranston; and her cherished grandchildren Haig, Vartan, Aram Hengen and Sona, Simon, Natalie Pinela; and her dear nephews Gary, Berge, Christopher and Barry Najarian. Seta was the sister of the late Simon and Mike Najarian, born in Kharput, Turkey. She was beloved by many and will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Sts. Vartanantz Church, 402 Broadway, Providence. Burial takes place in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. VISITING HOURS are Friday morning in Sts. Vartanantz Church from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
