69, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, peacefully with his wife and children by his side. He struggled with poor health for a number of years, but always faced his struggles with an iron will to live. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Hall) DiPippo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Adolph L. and Ida (Sargino) DiPippo.
Butch owned his barbershop in Warwick for 48 years. He enjoyed being his own boss and seeing his many regular customers with whom he enjoyed talking all day long about the New England Patriots. He was one of the New England Patriots' greatest fans and followed the team faithfully since the early 1970's. He lived for many years in Cranston. Butch belonged to the Corvette Club of RI.
Besides his wife Marilyn, he is survived by his two children, Jon DiPippo and his wife Edit of CT and Kristine Polichetti and her husband Stefan of Warwick, and five grandchildren. He was the brother of Paul, Robert, Pasquale, and Gregory DiPippo and Esther Major.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 4th at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
