Agostina "Tina" (Pellegrino) Carlini

96, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2016, at Charlesgate Nursing Center, in Providence. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Teresa Mercurio Pellegrino and Gerardo Pellegrino, and sister of the late Mary Pellegrino DeCubellis. She was the loving mother of the late Rocco G. Carlini, and grandmother of the late Anne Marie Carlini Domenicone DuPerry.

She is survived by her son Dr. Ralph D. (Assaiante) Carlini and her granddaughter Katherine V. Carlini both of Johnston; her daughters Anna Marie Carlini-Sabatini and Gabriella Carlini-Ganino, both of Rome, Italy; three step-grandchildren Sean, Kristen and Shannon Kennelly; eight other grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.

She lived in Europe during WWII, having endured both the Fascist and Nazi regime she returned to the U.S. in 1947. Tina worked in the costume jewelry industry for nearly 50 years, including Foster Jewelry, Hedison and until her retirement at the age of 80 years old, for Excell Manufacturing. She lived most of her life in the Silver Lake section of Providence until 2008, when she moved to Johnston.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, conducted by Deacon Kenneth J. Andrade of Nardolillo Funeral Home followed by a eulogy by her son, Dr. Ralph D. Carlini. Visiting hours are Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Burial will be private in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
