Albert A. 'Tuffy' Acciardo



87, of Johnston, passed away on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at West View Nursing Home in West Warwick. He was the devoted husband of Madeline (Ray) Acciardo.
Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Angelo and Rose (DiLullo) Acciardo.
Tuffy was the owner & operator of Tuffy Equipment Co for 40 years.
He was a WW-II US Army veteran serving in Germany and was a member of the RSES Refrigeration Society, and President of the Hurricane Riders Motorcycle Club.
Besides his wife he was the loving brother of Vincent, Raymond and Ernest Acciardo, Ann Corrente, Virginia Salzillo and Rose Grasso and the late Thomas, Carl, Louis, Pasco Ralph and Angelo Acciardo. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave. Johnston at 10 a.m.
Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park Johnston.
Visiting hours are Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
