Albert D. O'Connell
71, of Marco Island, Florida, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Donna (Chionchio) O'Connell. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Donald and Evelyn (Paquin) O'Connell.
Albert enjoyed golf and did get a hole in one at Midville CC. He also enjoyed his motorcycles and would often go on long rides to Ave Maria in southwest Florida.
He loved his grandchildren and would spend time at the beach with them, go to all their sporting events, movies and more. He taught them the game of golf as they matured. He was very good with technology and loved to send videos to them. Some of the grandchildren on college break had tickets to visit him on Marco Island right before he passed. He was overjoyed with anticipation of their arrival. As his children we loved dancing to dads Johnny Cash 8 tracks! Dad was "The Man."
He is survived by his companion, Patti Reilly of Marco Island, FL and his loving children, Dawn Forte and her husband David of Cranston, Michael O'Connell and his wife Kristen of Richmond, Colleen Schiavone and her husband Michael of North Scituate, and Jason O'Connell and his wife Julie of Cranston; cherished grandchildren Shane and Casey O'Connell, David and Douglas Forte, Gabrielle and Isabelle O'Connell, Maya and Colin Schiavone; dear brothers Donald, Tommy, and Jimmy O'Connell all of R.I. He was the brother of the late Bobby O'Connell.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Monday morning from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m.
