Alexander 'Muzzy' DeSimone
79, of Kearney Street, passed away on Sunday, June 28th , at Brentwood Nursing Home. He was a loving husband to Teresa(Ruggieri) DeSimone for over 50 years as well as a devoted father to Andrea and Dina DeSimone. Alexander was a retired food brokerage supervisor for Pezrow Enterprises for over 40 years, as well as an Honorary Board Member of the former R.I. Food Dealers Association.
He was also a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus of West Warwick, RI. Alexander enjoyed spending time at home with his family, working in his yard and quahogging with his many friends. He was the son of the late Alessandro and Loretta (DiBiase) DeSimone. He is survived by his brother, Anthony DeSimone, and four sisters; Mafalda Padula, Ida Antonucci, Frances Cherry, and Antonetta Capirchio. He was the brother of the late Domenic DeSimone, Josephine Brown, Helen Connery, Mary Petrarca and Santa Cardarelli.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark Church, 9 Garden Ct., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: R.I. Alzheimer's Association-RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St., Prov., R.I. 02906. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
