Alexandra Lee Forrest-Capron
In loving memory of Alexandra Lee Forrest-Capron, affectionately known as Alex, whose journey on earth concluded peacefully in Warwick, Rhode Island, on September 21, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on May 27, 1958, in Providence, Rhode Island, Alexandra lived a life profoundly marked by her boundless creativity, compassion, and dedication to service.
Life of Service and Joy
Alexandra devoted seventeen years to the role of Secretary for the Land Trust for the Town of Johnston, contributing her talents to the preservation of local landscapes. She also served with grace as a nurse's aid, tending to patients under hospice care. She later shared her gift for uplifting others as the activities director for Morgan Health Center, where she orchestrated moments of joy for residents and their families.Alexandra's artistic pursuits knew no bounds. She approached painting, drawing, sculpting, playing the violin, and crafting with a fervor that reflected her vivid imagination. Her hands, skilled in artistry, were matched only by her love for gardening, where she cultivated a wide assortment of plants and flowers. The beach was her sanctuary, a place where she relished the warm sun and the tantalizing flavors of her favored seafood, often accompanied by her cherished dogs.
Spiritual Pursuits and Family
Alexandra's quest for knowledge led her to explore spirituality and the healing arts. She was an ordained minister and a shaman. As a Reiki II practitioner, she also sought to bring comfort and wellness to those in need. A proud member of the Sisterhood of Emerald Fire and the Sisterhood of St. Mary's, she found camaraderie and purpose among like-minded women.
Alexandra is survived by her beloved husband, Stephen A. Capron; her son, Albert P. Olsen, Jr.; her brother and his wife, Raymond and Gail Gecawicz; and her sister, Kathy A. Gecawicz. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mafalda (Guglielmi) Gecawicz, and her father, Francis A. Gecawicz, Jr.
